It is medium to dark brown with natural caramel highlights from the sun. Most of the time it is in a braid or bun. I just had it trimmed, so the ends are in good condition. It has a natural wave--some parts are more wavy than others. Some parts are almost straight, some parts are ringletty. It takes a curl well (in the first three pictures I had just taken it out of a braid). I am a non-smoker and maintain a healthy lifestyle, and have always taken very good care of my hair. People ALWAYS compliment my hair when it is loose and beg me never to cut it. The other day when my husband was taking pictures of my hair a total stranger who was walking by commented on what beautiful hair I have.
